Debi joined Hudson Peters in 2009 to focus on project leasing assignments and to
utilize her diverse skill set representing building owners to help them maximize
their asset values while attracting high quality tenants. Debi was one of the first
women in the Dallas commercial real estate market to become a partner for a
development firm so she understands the landlord’s objectives in the leasing
arena. She joined Jackson Shaw Company, a Dallas based developer, as a
leasing agent in 1983 and became a Partner in 1990. As Partner, she was
responsible for overseeing the development of the company’s office, office/flex,
and industrial properties. She was involved in all development activities including
land acquisitions, feasibility studies, design criteria, preparation of construction
budgets, procurement of equity and debt, establishing leasing standards,
developing marketing plans, and disposition of the asset.
Prior to joining Hudson Peters, Ms. Carter was with Huffman Commercial Builders
where she specialized in the development, construction, marketing, and sales of
medical and office condominiums and build to suits.
Debi is a Cum Laude graduate of the University of Texas—Dallas with a BS in
Economics & Finance. She is also a Texas real estate broker, and a CCIM
designee.
